A | (ECNS) -- Datong City in north China's Shanxi Province saw its agricultural imports and exports exceed 250 million yuan (about $35.7 million) in the first half of this year, with notable growth in both trade volume and product quality. Datong Customs has introduced full-cycle services and smarter supervision across the agricultural supply chain. In the first half of the year, Datong's tomato paste exports surged 476.2% year on year, while buckwheat flour exports rose 47%. Dehydrated vegetables from Tianzhen County have also been showcased at several international exhibitions, helping local companies secure orders worth millions of dollars. Datong has continued to expand the overseas reach of its agricultural products. Locally produced tomato paste has entered markets including Russia, Mali, Moldova and Gambia, while the city exported tomato sauce to the Republic of Korea for the first time. Local companies have also participated in major international food exhibitions, including SIAL Paris and the Global Traditional Food and Nutrition Products Expo, securing multiple cooperation agreements.
